In the 1930’s the Great Depression hit Chattanoogo, and all of Tennessee hard.  Hazel’s Pop all was came home looking like a hangdog, then all of the sudden he lost his job,so he got on a train out of town. Thataboy Hazel heard next door. It was Timmy Oglethorpe and his friends playing baseball Hazel asked to play, and they all laughed at her and rejected her.
